A big thank you

I would just like to say thank you to everyone who made themselves available and to those who carried out tasks during my first stint as Controller. There were twenty five tasks carried out during the last couple of days, and many people benefited from your selfless actions. But most of all a big thank you from me.

I got this email from St Michaels Hospice this morning and would like to share it with all those who made them selves available over that busy weekend.

Morning Derek,

Don’t worry I don’t have any requests this morning!

I just wanted to thank you again for the incredible support you and the team provided to us over the weekend of snow and ice. Without your incredible support patients and families simply would not have been able to be seen. The patients would have been in pain and immensely suffering. With 4×4 Response support all patients that required visits were seen.

I will be inviting you all to a BBQ in the summer and I would be delighted if you were able to attend. I know a lot of you work so would like to propose that the employers are made aware of just what their employees volunteer as in their spare time.
