Hampshire & Berkshire 4x4 Response Deployed - New Forrest Fire
As emergency services continue to tackle the ongoing wildfire situation, our volunteer team at Hampshire and Berkshire 4x4 Response has been activated to support operations on the ground.
Our responders will be out on the ground helping the Forestry Commission to manage access closures around the perimeter of the fire.
By securing these perimeters, we are helping to keep the public safely away from danger zones.
We want to extend a massive thank you to our dedicated volunteers who dropped everything to deploy, and to all the multi-agency teams working tirelessly around the clock.
A quick reminder for the public:
*Please respect all road and access closures and stay well clear of the affected areas so our crews and the emergency services can work safely.
*Report any signs of smoke or open fires immediately by calling 999.
