Hi, all. I’ve been lurking around as a visitor for a while now. My wife is a midwife so I’ve heard about 4×4 Response groups in the past. I’m from Basingstoke and I’ve recently bought a Land Rover Freelander [sadly, I just missed out on the snow].
I’d like to sign up as a responder but wanted to ask some questions about the vehicle requirements if possible?
The car has no towbar at the moment but I will be getting one fitted soon for stuff I do with Scouts so rear is covered, but what do people do about the requirement for a front recovery point? I know the requirements say this isn’t always possible but I wanted to know how important this is and whether I should be looking into options for adding a recovery point on the front?
Once I can get the car up to spec then I will be registering with the group properly.
Many thanks,
Richard
